Trauma Therapist

My Story

My path to becoming a therapist stems from a deep belief in the power of our personal narratives. I have always been fascinated by how our past experiences shape the way we navigate the world, react to stress, and protect ourselves. Over the years, I learned that true wellness doesn’t come from numbing our emotions or keeping the world at a distance. It comes from having the courage to look at our life events, understand the messages we’ve carried, and use that insight to make healthier choices today.
This belief is what led me to earn my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from George Fox University. Today, in my greater Portland private practice, my passion is creating a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your own narrative. I am here to help you process your history, break old patterns, and write a happier, healthier next chapter.

My Values & Beliefs

I believe that while life can get incredibly messy, it is also fundamentally full of beauty. We have a unique, built-in capacity to navigate the chaos and channel it into a life of gratitude. Humans are fiercely adaptable and strong, with the power to change any internal habits or patterns that are holding them back.
When we take ownership of our personal narratives, we unlock the exact foundation needed for lasting growth. I bring this belief into every session, offering a compassionate, deeply inviting space to unpack your history. We will treat your story with the care it deserves, utilizing both clinical insight and a healthy dose of humor to keep our feet on the ground as you build the fulfilling life you desire.

My Approach

We all have a story, and we have all been handed scripts by the world around us. My approach is centered on helping you unpack your unique life experiences to understand exactly how they affect your present. When we map out your narrative, the path to making healthier, more intentional decisions naturally clears up.
My absolute passion is guiding individuals through life’s heaviest, most confusing seasons. I specialize in trauma and sexual abuse recovery, addictions, depression, and anxiety. Coming from a family with deep military roots, I also hold a strong dedication to supporting veterans through their distinct challenges.
Therapy with me is a collaborative partnership. We will face the serious stuff—like rewriting trauma and breaking old coping cycles—with deep clinical care, profound empathy, and even a little well-timed humor to keep us grounded. I am here to help you dismantle what’s holding you back so you can build a truly healthy, fulfilling life.
