Trauma TherapistMy Story
As someone who has experienced traumas in life, I understand how my traumas have played out in life. I also know how processing my life events have helped me lead a happier and healthier life. Through doing my own story work I was able to understand why I was reacting to life the way I was. Why I was using substances to numb my life and emotions. Why I was keeping everyone at a safe distance. It was through understanding my story and the messages that I heard and learned that helped me make better decisions in the here and now.
In addition, I have my Master of Arts degree In Clinical Mental Health from George Fox University and have my own private practice in the greater Portland area. I have been married for ten years and am the proud father of twin boys.
My Values & Beliefs
Life can be messy at times. It can also be full of beauty and fulfillment. We have the ability to change the mess into a life of gratitude and appreciation. I was able to start that journey through my own personal counseling process. We, as humans are exceptionally adaptable and strong. We have the ability to change what we do not like within ourselves. By understanding our narrative or story, we can then make those changes that we desperatly desire.
